THE IGICANIRO TOUR is a 2-day and 1-night fantastic cultural and historical experience!
Day 1:

08:00 AM: Pick up at your desired location in Bujumbura.

10:00 AM: Visit Kwa Miganda Eco-Cultural Heritage:
Explore the center, learning about Burundi’s ancestral knowledge, indigenous plants, traditional food practices, local wine production, and handcrafts.

12:30 PM: Lunch
Enjoy a traditional meal.

13:00: Visit Agasumo ka Mwaro
This site is composed of four successive waterfalls of spectacular beauty. It is renowned for its sacred dimension, being a high place linked to the “kubandwa” cult, a spiritual practice of possession celebrated in traditional Burundi.

14:30 : Le Traité de Kiganda
Visit this historic site marking the end of hostilities between the Germans and King Mwezi Gisabo's kingdom.

4:00 PM: Check in at your accommodation
Choose between staying at a hotel or a campsite, both have stunning mountain views

19:00: Dinner
Dinner around a bonfire with traditional music and folklore.

10:30 AM: Gishora Royal Drummers Sanctuary

Enjoy a traditional meal before heading back.

14:00: Travel back to Bujumbura, where you will be dropped off at your desired location.
